Welcome to Alton Village Hall, situated in the beautiful village of Alton, in Staffordshire. We are delighted to welcome you to our charming and picturesque community space.
Alton Village Hall has been serving the local and wider community since 1977 when it was opened. The hall was built on land generously donated by the late Mr & Mrs W Shirley, who were local farmers in the community for many years. The hall is vested in and run for the village by a Management Committee on a purely voluntary basis. It is a Registered Charity 503120 and relies on fundraising events and letting of the hall for the money required to maintain and operate.
We offer flexible hiring arrangements and hold a PPL music licence. Bar facilities are available by arrangement when making a booking for an extra cost of £25. The hall is perfect for hosting a variety of events and activities, such as weddings, parties, meetings, and community gatherings. We welcome you to join our upcoming events and activities.
We are always looking for volunteers to help with our events. Feel free to contact us to learn more about how you can get involved. For more details about our facilities, hiring process, and to make a booking, please visit our website or contact us directly.
We are excited to have you as part of our community and look forward to seeing you at Alton Village Hall.

Latest News Alton Village Hall Committee are pleased to announce the completion of our latest renovation of Alton Village Hall.

We have now installed new aluminium frame double glazed units to the front porch entrance. This has made it easier for wheelchair access. The main halls front windows and doors have also been replaced with new UPVC double glazed units. The main benefit of double-glazing project ensures reduced heat loss. So, with less expenditure on heating then it allows more scope for spending on other improvement needs of the hall. The trustees, many of whom are regular hall users, discuss and approve all renovation plans together.Local Tradesman Trevor Goodwin supplied and superbly fitted all the new units.
The renovation of Alton Village Hall creates a better public space as well as adding to the sustainability of a valuable community asset.
This project received financial support from Staffordshire Moorlands District Council and the UK Government, provided via the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
